Cannabiz Africa reported that Dr Green’s Chief Financial Officer abruptly left his Sandton hotel room the night before he was to appear on the main stage at the Cannabis Expo in Sandton on 30 May 2025, and the Dr Green stand was left empty during the Expo. Cannabiz Africa also revealed that Capone, and his partner Maxmillian White, were the brains behind not only Dr Green marketing of investment tokens but also the supply of medical cannabis via Professor Herb.
Sources say Capone is currently in Dubai, saying he left South Africa because of a medical emergency. However, the publicity caused by his sudden exit from the Expo, has had an international ripple effect, and it appears that Dr Green’s cannabis investment scheme stretched from Bangkok to LA and that it may be unravelling as more allegations of impropriety emerge.
Over the past eight months, Business of Cannabis, Cannabis Health, Leafie and CannaReporter have conducted extensive research into Dr. Green Digital Key — a high-profile blockchain project that is positioning itself as a game-changer in global access to cannabis. Openly supported and promoted by a man who calls himself the world’s first “cannabis billionaire,” the platform’s bold claims have attracted patients, entrepreneurs and investors across continents.
They expect to publish their findings soon.
