President Finally Signs Plant Improvement Act into Law, Effective 1 December 2025

President Cyril Ramaphosa (pictured here) has officially proclaimed the start date for the amended Plant Improvement Act as to be effective 1 December 2025. The Act defines cannabis as an agricultural crop and is foundational for the development of the South African hemp industry.
