Cannabiz Africa is published by Brett Hilton-Barber, a veteran journalist with experience at Radio 702, Cape Talk, iafrica.com and the author of several books on natural history. He is based in Tzaneen, Limpopo Province.

Cannabiz Africa has cultivated the trust of the cannabis community with its editorial coverage and seeks to play an active role in breaking down the stigma traditionally associated with cannabis. It supports South Africa’s National Cannabis Master Plan, which seeks to unlock the value of the plant for job creation, revenue generation, personal health and wellness, community empowerment and poverty-alleviation
